Our curriculum is grounded in the Montessori philosophy, emphasizing hands-on, self-directed learning, and respecting the individuality of each child.

Outdoor Classroom: Our outdoor classroom space provides opportunities for children to explore and learn in a natural setting, fostering a deep connection with the environment.

 We believe that a connection with nature is essential for children's development. Our curriculum integrates outdoor exploration, gardening, and environmental stewardship throughout all subject areas.

Gardening & Composting: Children participate in the cultivation of an organic community garden, learning about plant life cycles, soil health, and the importance of composting and recycling

STEAM Education: Science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) are woven into the curriculum to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.

Green Building Projects: Students are involved in green building projects, such as constructing birdhouses, bee hotels, or rain gardens, fostering a sense of responsibility for the environment and community pride.

Environmental education and sustainability are integral to our curriculum. Students learn about the natural world, conservation, and sustainable practices through hands-on projects and community partnerships.

Nature Walks & Field Trips: Regular nature walks and field trips to local parks, nature reserves, and environmental organizations deepen students' understanding of their local ecosystem and the wider world.

As an integral part of Building Green Blocks, Inc., BGBAHC emphasizes the importance of community engagement and empowerment. Students participate in local initiatives and collaborate with residents to promote self-sustainability and revitalization.

Community Service & Collaboration: BGBAHC partners with local environmental groups, organizations, and residents to provide students with opportunities for community service and collaboration on sustainable initiatives within the community.

1. Attend an Information Session: Interested families attend an information session to learn about BGBAHC's philosophy, curriculum, and expectations.
2. Application: Families submit a completed application.
3.Interview: Families participate in an interview with BGBAHC staff to ensure alignment with the school's mission and values.
4.Visit Day: Children attend a visit day to experience the BGBAHC environment and interact with staff and students.
5.Enrollment: Upon acceptance, families complete the enrollment process, including submission of required documentation and payment of fees (scholarships and financial aid may be available for eligible families).
