ABOUT US –
“Rooted in Resilience. Growing through Grace.”

At Greenhouse Living Women’s Center, every woman is seen, heard, and held. We are more than a shelter — we are sacred ground for new beginnings.

Our Mission

We exist to restore the roots of safety, dignity, and purpose in every woman and child we serve.

Our mission is to provide safe, healing-centered transitional housing for women and children — especially survivors of domestic violence, homelessness, or systemic neglect. We offer wraparound care that nourishes the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.

Our Story

It started with one mother’s story — and became a movement.

Greenhouse was born from the lived experience of a mother who fled abuse with her children and built a new life from the soil up. That personal journey planted the seeds for a center rooted in compassion, culture, and community. Today, we grow hope for families just like hers — through intentional housing, education, and holistic care..

 Our Approach

Healing doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens in community.

Our Values

Dedication. Expertise. Passion.

At Greenhouse Living Women’s Center, our values aren’t just words on a wall — they are sacred seeds we plant daily through every room we restore, every child we nurture, and every woman we welcome. These guiding principles shape our ecosystem of care and remind us what it truly means to grow with love, in safety, and with purpose.

A Sanctuary in Every Corner

Every room in Greenhouse Living Women’s Center is intentionally designed to offer safety, beauty, and belonging.
From lavender-scented bedrooms to a Montessori play space for little ones — every corner is a chapter in a woman’s comeback story.

EVENTS & EXPERIENCES

“Healing in Motion. Community in Celebration.”

We believe in joy as a form of resistance, rest as a form of justice, and community as the foundation of healing.
That’s why we host unforgettable, mission-driven experiences — where every ticket, toast, and trail walk brings us closer to supporting women and children on their journey to safety and wholeness.

THE GREENHOUSE MODEL

“From Crisis to Confidence. From Survival to Self-Sufficiency.”

At Greenhouse Living Women’s Center, we don’t just provide shelter — we provide a full-circle support system that walks women through every season of their healing journey.

Our trauma-informed 12-month pathway is designed to cultivate safety, growth, and sustainability — planting seeds of resilience that bloom far beyond their time with us.

🌱 The 6 Stages of the Greenhouse Model:

1. Arrival & Safety

Theme: Shelter, protection, stabilization

Upon arrival, residents are welcomed with a Warm Basket, safe sleeping quarters, and a trauma-informed intake session. Immediate needs like food, clothing, and hygiene are met within the first 24–48 hours.

🛏️ Key Support: Housing, hygiene kits, diapers, emergency supplies
💬 Goal: Stabilize basic needs and restore physical safety

2. Healing & Trust

Theme: Emotional safety, wellness rituals

Residents begin trauma recovery work through therapy, sound healing, yoga, journaling, and our Calm Kits. Weekly wellness check-ins build emotional trust and routine.

🧘‍♀️ Key Support: Therapy, tapping, meditation, group healing
💬 Goal: Build internal safety, emotional regulation, and belonging

3. Family Stabilization

Theme: Parenting, early education, legal support

Montessori play spaces, parenting workshops, and family therapy help rebuild fractured bonds. Legal aid is provided for custody, restraining orders, and reunification if needed.

👩‍👧 Key Support: Mommy & Me program, doula care, legal navigation
💬 Goal: Rebuild family unity and parental confidence

4. Empowerment & Skills

Theme: Financial literacy, education, independence

Residents begin life skill training, digital literacy, career exploration, and resume development. Small business support and budgeting workshops are offered monthly.

💻 Key Support: Laptop access, resume kits, mock interviews, entrepreneurship
💬 Goal: Cultivate career readiness and financial freedom

5. Transition Planning

Theme: Housing placement, long-term sustainability

Residents work with case managers to plan for their next home, secure employment, and establish childcare or school enrollment.

🏠 Key Support: Housing placement, job placement, relocation kits
💬 Goal: Ensure a safe, supported transition out of the center

6. Aftercare & Lifelong Sisterhood

Theme: Community, alumni connection, support continuation

Even after they leave, women stay connected through monthly check-ins, alumni events, and ongoing resource access.

🌸 Key Support: Sisterhood Circle, alumni fund, monthly support group
💬 Goal: Reduce recidivism and reinforce community connection
